We hope that the reading has sparked off some ideas. Here are a few questions to kick off our discussion.
Do you see advocacy and campaigning as synonymous, or are there differences between the two? (See Ian Chandler article, p.2)
Chandler (p.3) discusses the differences between advocacy by the people, for the people and with the people. Tell us about one experience that you have had with education ‘by the people’--- What made it effective? What challenges were encountered?
Who exactly is Chandler referring to when he speaks about ‘the people’? Are you uncomfortable with his language, and if so, why?
