Membership of IDEA is open to organisations and individuals who are involved in the provision, promotion or advancement of development education and who subscribe to the Vision and Mission of IDEA.

Members receive:

1. Our fortnightly E-Circular, informing you of all upcoming IDEA events, training   opportunities, funding and job opportunities.
2. Regular email contact in relation to events and training opportunities specific to your sector. 
3. Free or reduced rates to IDEA events and trainings
4. Opportunities to network and meet with other development education organisations
5. Opportunities to contribute to the work of IDEA through our National Council and our Working Groups
6. Promotion of your organisation through our website
7. Representation on your behalf to policy makers and funding bodies

The procedure for membership is that an application form is completed and submitted to the National Council. This can be made at any time of the year. Membership is for the calendar year.

There are four categorises of membership:

1. Organisational,
2. Individual,
3. Associate 
4. Honorary Membership.

Membership Fees 

In 2010 these are €25.00 for organisational membership and €10.00 for individual members.
