Habitat for Humanity Ireland
Since 1976 Habitat for Humanity has worked with more than 500,000 families to construct, rehabilitate or preserve homes; to advocate for fair and just housing policies; and to provide training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
HFH Ireland fundraises to support HFH projects around the world and sends teams of volunteers from Ireland to work in partnership with families on these projects. Team leaders facilitate Development Education sessions in team meetings in advance of the trip and while the team is in-country. These sessions encourage volunteers to think critically about some of the issues faced in the community they were visiting and introduces different ways to continue to engage when they return home.
