A Study of the Current Training and Professional Development Needs of Members (PDF 1.19mb)

This research, was undertaken in reponse to IDEA's first strategic objective "to support and strengthen the capacity and professional development of the sector." The researcher, Karen O'Shea, documented current training and professional development needs, examined the levels of engagement among IDEA members and asked members to feedback on communications between IDEA and its members.

Conference Report Oct 2008
IDEA's second Annual Conference on the 25th September 2008, focused on the development education work of minority ethnic communities in Ireland. The Regional Working Group of IDEA undertook some research in the summer of 2008 to inform the work of the conference. This research, undertaken by Son Gyoh is also presented in the report.
