The IDEA Research Community aims to provide a discussion platform for new research in Ireland, and to support ongoing research work undertaken by the membership.

Collaborative Research strands

Two strands of research have been identifed by members as areas of interest and ongoing work.

These are:

• development workers engagement with development issues, particularly education
• public attitudes to development issues and support for ODA

Peer research Support group

We also provide a supportive setting for discussing ongoing research work. There are two peer mentoring groups at present

• teachers engagement with development education
• evaluation- sharing strategies and findings
