What Next? How to continue Development Work in Ireland

This course is aimed at people with an interest in global development issues who want to work for a fair and equitable world from Ireland. This includes, but is not limited to, those who have lived or volunteered overseas and want to:

  •      Explore that experience and how to use it as a springboard for continuing their involvement in working for a better world;
  •      Continue to support those they have met and worked with while overseas;
  •      Consider how to make lifestyle choices based on their principles and values;
  •      Learn about development work happening in Ireland;
  •      Network and share experiences with others.

Two days of practical and participatory workshops aim to provide you with the skills to:

  1.      Identify your knowledge about and opinion on development issues,
  2.      Write about and present your overseas experiences or knowledge to a variety of audiences;
  3.      Use images and create videos;
  4.      Influence the media;
  5.      Get involved in campaigns and solidarity work.
