Description of Work in DE

EIL Intercultural Learning delivers Development Education activities to the Adult and Community sector through a committed group of volunteers on our Development Education Committee who are part of our network of previous programme participants. The Development Education Committee is supported by Development Education Coordinator, Tara McGrath and Programme Manager, Una Deasy from the Global Volunteers Team at EIL. DevEd activities include: + 12 DevEd Committee Member Volunteers + 2 Network Weekend events packed full of DE workshops + 2 Annual DE resources tested at Network Weekends, aimed at Adult audiences + A 'Global Loop' mailing list to keep those interested in DE up to date + 1 Residential Weekend annually for capacity building with DevEd Committee volunteers + 4 Global Awareness part-funded scholarships to volunteer in the global south + 2 rounds of seed fund grants to support multiplier action projects + Global Citizen Award programme for returned international volunteers
