Global Centre for Education: Policy and Practice
Relevant Tags: development education
The Centre for Global Education is calling for contributions to Issue 26 of its bi-annual, open access, peer reviewed journal Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review which will be published in Spring 2018 on the theme ‘Development Education in Politically Uncertain Times’.
The past year has been a highly volatile and politically unstable one with a slide toward popular nationalism in several countries and regions across the world. The questions posed by this issue will include:
- How can the Development Education sector respond to the rise of popular nationalism?
- In what way can our practice equip learners with the skills to separate the wheat from the chaff served up by our media?
- How can we create new alliances in society to build popular movements that can sustain change?
Authors interested in submitting an article should send a 300 word précis to journal editor, Stephen McCloskey, via firstname.lastname@example.org by 08 September.
