Trócaire Falls for IDEA’s Young “Autumn Activists”

On the 4th of November IDEA staff members alongside two of the Young global advocates form the “Challenging the Crisis” Project were invited to Trocaire Offices in Maynooth, to speak to staff members as part of Trocaire’s event Autumn Activists.

Members of many different departments of Trocaire attended the event to get a broader view of what it is IDEA does and about Development Education, The event was also recorded so that Trocaire staff In the International Offices would also to be able to share the experience, our Director Frank Geary Presented on this.

Later on in the event Elaine Mahon Introduced the Young Global Advocates, Adam Sweetman and Deirdre McAdams. Both Global Advocates spoke about what “Challenging the Crisis” is and how they got involved. They then went on to speak about their campaign and their strategy and that it would be published in early January across all partner states. Both Adam and Deirdre spoke very passionately and received a great level engagement from all attended.
