Annual Grants 2016
Applicants for the Irish Aid Development Education Annual Grants will be receiving a response to their submissions in the coming week. As in previous years, IDEA will be sending a response to Irish Aid regarding this Annual Grants round. In order for us to have a full picture of its impact on the Development Education sector, we are asking our members to provide us with information about their applications, and the grants and feedback received. To facilitate this, please complete this short questionnaire by Friday, 01 April.

Good Governance Webinar
Is your organisation working towards compliance with the Governance Code (http://www.governancecode.ie/) ? If so, you may be interested in joining IDEA’s Good Governance Group. The group meets informally to provide peer support for IDEA members working on governance issues, to share resources (policy templates, etc), and to hold training sessions addressing identified needs. Development Education Facilitation Skills: A Practical Introduction

Session One: Global Citizenship Education
IDEA will be running a series of Development Education Conversations throughout 2016. These will be informal evening sessions, providing the opportunity for anyone interested in Development Education to explore various aspects of theory and practice. Discussion on Humanitarian Financing and the World Humanitarian Summit
Trócaire and Christian Aid Ireland are hosting a discussion on the work and plans of the START Network, the High-level Panel report on Humanitarian Financing, the Charter for Change and related issues ahead of the World Humanitarian Summit. New publication on EU funding delivery mechanisms
With its new development cooperation strategies for 2014-2020, the EU is in the process of changing how it funds the work of civil society organisations.
