Austerity Workshop

IDEA’s Community Sector Working Group is running an Austerity Workshop on Thursday 3 December at the IDEA offices, from 10:00 (coffee and registration at 9:30) until 13:00. The workshop is suitable for anyone engaged in any level of development education and wishes to know more about the connectedness of local and global debt issues.  The workshop is FREE but please register in advance with susan@ideaonline.ie.  Find out more...

Workshop: How Can We Work Together To Achieve The SDGs?
If you're an NGO or Civil Society actor join us on the 26 November, 17:30 - 19:30,  in the IDEA offices for a workshop led by our Young Global Advocates on the Sustainable Development Goal agenda. You'll have the opportunity to examine the relevance of the SDGs to your social justice work whether in Ireland or abroad, along with possibilities to network with other civil society actors to discuss possible collaboration in your work towards social justice. Find out more...

The Educational Response to the Ongoing Refugee Crisis
The Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship Education, St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, in partnership with Trócaire, will officially launch the Global Schools: primary education for a Just World project at a symposium discussion regarding the Educational Response to the Ongoing refugee crisis on Wednesday, 25 November, at 5.30pm in St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra. This year's UCD Volunteers Overseas conference will take place on 28 November in the UCD Global Lounge, and focus on the topic of volunteering and sustainable development. Millennium@EDU  and VidCode have launched the GirlsCode4Climate@EDU Award  to foster climate literacy, global citizenship and participation as well as technology skills.
