Job Opportunity: Bridge 47 Partnerships Coordinator

The Irish Development Education Association is a partner in a EU-funded project entitled Bridge 47. The overall objective of the project is to mobilise global civil society to contribute effectively to global justice and eradication of poverty through global citizenship.

IDEA is leading on the Partnership strand of the project and our work focuses on three types of partnerships that can extend awareness and understanding of Global Citizenship Education practice and impact, while demonstrating the role of partnerships in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals. These are:

  • Exploratory Partnerships: bringing together civil society with actors who have not previously engaged in Global Citizenship Education
  • Advocacy Partnerships: bringing together civil society with policymakers and state institutions
  • Knowledge Exchange Partnerships: bringing together universities/research organisations with civil society organisations.

IDEA is currently recruiting a Partnerships Coordinator to ensure delivery of the Partnerships Programme.

Deadline for application is 5.00pm, Tuesday, 17 December 2019.

In June, a delegation from our Erasmus+ partner organisation LAPAS (Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation) visited Dublin for a two-day learning and exchange visit hosted by IDEA. The visit was part of an ongoing collaboration with LAPAS to strengthen quality global citizenship education (GCE) in Ireland and Latvia, using the IDEA Code of Good Practice as a framework.
