Job Opportunity: Bridge 47 Partnerships Coordinator

The Irish Development Education Association is a partner in a EU-funded project entitled Bridge 47. The overall objective of the project is to mobilise global civil society to contribute effectively to global justice and eradication of poverty through global citizenship. 

IDEA is leading on the Partnership strand of the project and our work focuses on three types of partnerships that can extend awareness and understanding of Global Citizenship Education practice and impact, while demonstrating the role of partnerships in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals. These are:

  • Exploratory Partnerships: bringing together civil society with actors who have not previously engaged in Global Citizenship Education
  • Advocacy Partnerships: bringing together civil society with policymakers and state institutions
  • Knowledge Exchange Partnerships: bringing together universities/research organisations with civil society organisations.

IDEA is currently recruiting a Partnerships Coordinator to ensure delivery of the Partnerships Programme.

IDEA is looking for a video production company/ animator for an upcoming video project. We have funding available to create a short animated educational video resource for members as part of The Code of Good Practice. The video will help viewers understand what quality GCE is and why it matters in the world today. The intended audience for the video are people who are connected to the Code of Good Practice and GCE in their work but not yet very familiar with it e.g. non-GCE staff in member organisations, board members of member organisations, teachers, youth workers, European partners, new members to the Code and new staff to IDEA member organisations. Please submit your CV and a short letter of interest outlining a proposal for the video (including the number of days you envisage and the fee) to code@ideaonline.ie.
