JOB: Promotions and Communications officer for the Centre for Global Education

Centre for Global Education seeks Promotions and Communications Officer

To support delivery of a new formal education project called the Global Learning Programme which aims to strengthen the capacity of schools and teachers to help pupils learn about global justice issues. The post-holder will develop and implement a promotions and communications strategy with the aim of securing schools’ engagement in the programme activities.  Duties will include: web site management; developing effective communications with schools; supporting the dissemination and completion of evaluation and monitoring tools; and creating social media platforms to facilitate regular contact with teachers and schools.

Hours:                                   26 hours per week

Salary:                                   £20,000 per annum

In June, a delegation from our Erasmus+ partner organisation LAPAS (Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation) visited Dublin for a two-day learning and exchange visit hosted by IDEA. The visit was part of an ongoing collaboration with LAPAS to strengthen quality global citizenship education (GCE) in Ireland and Latvia, using the IDEA Code of Good Practice as a framework.
