Online Advocacy Workshop: Advocacy Guide and Toolkit

IDEA will host an Advocacy Workshop for our members on Wednesday 07 February from 10.30am -12.30pm Online via Zoom.


This will focus on an Advocacy Toolkit, along with guidance on engaging with policy processes, that is currently being developed. The aim is to better support the Global Citizenship Education advocacy work of the sector. The draft structure and outline of the Advocacy Toolkit will be shared with you at the workshop and your feedback is welcome, to ensure that it will be relevant and useful to your work. Key observations from a recent Advocacy Survey conducted with IDEA members better inform and shape the toolkit content will also be discussed.


The workshop will be a great opportunity to jointly identify shared learning around positive and negative experiences of Global Citizenship Education advocacy and resources, to discuss challenges you may face in engaging in advocacy initiatives, to share good practice, and to identify future collaborative advocacy opportunities.

IDEA is seeking to engage an experienced auditing service firm that will provide the full range of auditing services required to fulfil its statutory obligations, to comply with relevant accounting and reporting standards and best practice. IDEA is looking for a video production company/ animator for an upcoming video project. We have funding available to create a short animated educational video resource for members as part of The Code of Good Practice. The video will help viewers understand what quality GCE is and why it matters in the world today. The intended audience for the video are people who are connected to the Code of Good Practice and GCE in their work but not yet very familiar with it e.g. non-GCE staff in member organisations, board members of member organisations, teachers, youth workers, European partners, new members to the Code and new staff to IDEA member organisations. Please submit your CV and a short letter of interest outlining a proposal for the video (including the number of days you envisage and the fee) to code@ideaonline.ie.
