Global Citizenship Education has never been more important, and it’s vital that we mobilise to both defend and expand our work. IDEA has therefore been developing a high-level advocacy strategy for advancing the policy and investment priorities set out in Vision 2030 in the coming years. This has assisted us to identify our strategic approaches, advocacy targets, and the specific outcomes and policy opportunities for each priority. We have also drafted a policy engagement timeline for 2026.

We were delighted to involve our members in helping to shape this strategy over the past month, starting with a webinar presentation and Q&A on 05 March followed by an invitation to members to provide written feedback and suggestions on the draft advocacy strategy. 

Now that your feedback has been analysed and integrated, we will host an in-person workshop for members on Tuesday 31 March, 10.00am – 1.00pm at IDEA offices, 6 Gardiner Row, Dublin 1, to further develop aspects of the strategy. A vegetarian lunch will be provided.
