LYCS: Sustainable Cookery Course

Lourdes Youth and Community Sevices are running a 5 week Sustainable Cooking Course – Cooking with Care, Mondays, 10.00am-12.30am, 26 February – 26 March, in LYCS, Lower Rutland St, Dublin 1.

Learn about how to care for the planet and people, through cooking and food awareness. The way we produce our food is heating up the planet, so let’s not cook up a storm and instead eat local, real, healthy food. In this 5 week course you will learn all about sustainable and healthy cooking with Fumbally studios chef Aoife Allen. Aoife will pass on her skills and enthusiasm for local, seasonal veg and pulse based cooking, making good quality meat go further, fermentation, cooking with left-overs and baking healthier treats with ordinary ingredients. Open to all regardless of current level of cooking skills. Especially geared towards people who work with groups and who can pass on the learning to others.
