Vision 2030 Online Consultation Workshop - shaping a new vision for Development Education/GCE in Ireland

Date:  Thursday 10 April, 11.00am - 1.00pm

Location: Online/Zoom

Vision 2025 - Towards a Society of Global Citizens was produced by IDEA in 2021, based on the inputs, knowledge, and expertise of a cross-section of members. In 2022, it was updated again in consultation with members. Now we would like to produce Vision 2030 - Towards a Society of Global Citizens (working title) - a fresh vision and roadmap for Development Education/GCE in Ireland for the coming five years. This vision and roadmap will guide us in our work towards co-creating a society of global citizens in Ireland, during the term of the current Government and Oireachtas and in the last phase of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

We invite members to join us on Thursday 10 April to participate in an online consultation workshop as part of the process of developing Vision 2030. Together we will co-create a valuable shared tool to communicate the overall collective vision and roadmap for DE/GCE on the island of Ireland as well as the vision and aims of DE/GCE practitioners for the formal education and non-formal education sector with a range of stakeholders, including policymakers, donors, decision-makers and decision-influencers at national and local level.
