policy & curriculum

IDEA works with our members to create policy change for the Global Citizenship Education sector in Ireland and internationally. We support our members’ engagement in policy-making processes, by identifying opportunities and facilitating collaboration to develop policy positions, submissions and research.


IDEA brings members together to have a voice in policy and curriculum development. Since 2015, IDEA and its members have made several national and international policy submissions, along with collective submissions on curriculum reform across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

ADVOCACY TOOLKIT

We developed an Advocacy Toolkit and Policy Guide on Global Citizenship Education in Ireland and the Wider World to support IDEA members and other practitioners in advocating with policymakers and actively engaging in policy processes related to Global Citizenship Education in Ireland and internationally.
