  • 10.30 – 11.30am: Networking and Reflection Session


  • 11.30 – 12.30pm: Opening Speaker Session

    This Opening Session will be moderated by Dr. Eilish Dillon, Assistant Professor and Head of the Maynooth University Department of International Development. The speakers include Dr. Peter T Coleman, Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University, Director of the Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (MD-ICCCR), and Executive Director of Columbia University’s Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity, and Dr Ebun Joseph, Diversity and Race Relations Consultant, Module Coordinator and Lecturer in Black Studies at University College Dublin (UCD), Director of the Institute of Antiracism and Black Studies (IABS), Founder and Chairperson (2018-2022) African Scholars Association Ireland (AFSAI).


    This will be followed by a Question & Answer session and a reflection session before breaking for lunch. 

  • 12.45 – 2.00pm: Lunch


  • 2.00 - 3.20pm: Panel Session

    The Panel Session will be moderated by Charo Lanao. Panellists include: 

    • Ikal Ang'elei, Environmental Activist & Goldman Environmental Prize Awardee
    • Mamobo Ogoro, Activist, Founder of Gorm Media, Award Winning Scholar, and Artist
    • Dr Audrey Bryan, Associate Professor of Sociology in the School of Human Development, Dublin City University
    • Bobby McCormack, Co-founder and CEO of Development Perspectives

    This will be followed by a Question and Answer session. 

  • 3.20 – 4.00pm: Stepping into the Future

    This session will be led by Charo Lanao, and will explore the changes and innovation needed to strengthen the impact of the sector

  • 4.00 – 4.15pm: Closing


  • 4.15pm: Social Gathering


Wednesday, 22nd June

  • 9:30am – 12.30pm: Workshops running in parallel

    Transformative Education in Times of Crises, with Tereza Čajková and Aurèle Destrée 


    Ecosystem Restoration and Development Education: regenerating people and wider nature, with Gareth Conlon and Karen Jeffers 

  • 2.00pm - 5.00pm: Workshops running in parallel

    War, Peace and the Future of Development Education, with Zelalem Sibhat, Gertrude Cotter and Gerard McCann 


    Global Business and Human Rights, with Mark Cumming
