Bridge 47: Sub-granting Call for Proposals

Are you working in the area of Global Citizenship Education or educational innovations? Do you think that education can change the world around you for the better? If your answer is yes, Bridge 47 welcomes you to participate in a call for innovative educational projects.

We believe education can help us reverse negative global trends. In the current call for proposals we are looking for small scale (regional, local, community) innovative projects which put Global Citizenship Education and other types of value-based education in practice.

The maximum project budget should not exceed €5,000 with a maximum project grant of €4,750 (5 % co-financing requested from project applicant). Successful applicants will be invited to a two-day design thinking workshop in March 2019 to showcase their educational innovations.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is 24 January 2019.

Eligible entities are active non-profit organizations established in one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia.

The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA) is leading on the Partnerships strand of Bridge 47.

This sub-granting call is part of Bridge 47 – Building Global Citizenship, an EU-funded project implemented by Finnish Development NGOs Fingo and 15 European and global partners. The project mobilises and empowers global civil society to contribute to a transformation towards global justice and eradication of poverty through Global Citizenship Education (GCE). Dates: Thursday 10 July,10.00am-6.00pm and Friday 11 July, 10.00am-3.00pm Location: An Tairseach, Wicklow IDEA is thrilled to open applications for our second iteration of the IDEA's Lab. In this first of its kind residential Lab, we will create space where members can bring their ideas for projects and try out new planning and design methods. Participants will have the opportunity to work on an idea from scratch to (almost) finish with the support of expert trainers and learn through group exchange in a welcoming and inspiring setting. Participants will come out of the training with: An early project design proofed, tested and built through group feedback, iteration, trialling and support. New approaches in designing innovative projects they can apply to their workplace Headspace and time to work on the design of an innovative project A chance to actively learn through group exchange and strengthen the sense of an innovative community of practice in Ireland How? Cost : This training is funded by Irish Aid at the Department of Foreign Affairs and offered at a reduced rate. This training is only available to IDEA members. Non-IDEA members can participant as part of an IDEA member team.
