Centre for Global Education: Education toward Social Change

The Centre for Global Education, Development Studies Association Ireland and St. Mary’s University College, Belfast are hosting a seminar on “Education toward Social Change: Challenges and Opportunities for Achieving SDG 4.7 through Inter-Sectoral Co-operation.” This will take place Wednesday, 14 June 2017 in The Senate Room, Queen’s University Belfast, 1.00pm – 4.00pm (1.00pm – 2.00pm Light lunch). The seminar will discuss how related education sectors can work together toward achieving SDG 4.7. 

Speakers: Mary Van Lieshout (Development Studies Association Ireland, Chair); Nicola Browne (Director, Participation and the Practice of Rights); Frank Geary (Director, Irish Development Education Association); Elaine Nevin (National Director, ECO-UNESCO); and Dermot O’Brien (National Youth Council of Ireland). 

Participation is free but registration essential as numbers are limited to 40.
