Code of Good Practice for Development Education – New Members


The Code of Good Practice for Development Education will open again for new members to join and submit their first self-assessment in February 2023.


An information session will be held on Wednesday 26 October from 12 midday – 1pm on Zoom to provide information to IDEA members who wish to find out more about the process and possibly join the Code this year.


The first deadline for Code submissions in 2023 will be in February and the second in August. Membership of the Code is open to all members of IDEA, including individual members.

Event Management Consultant

IDEA is seeking a consultant to support its team in organising the Annual Conference and 20th Anniversary on Wednesday 04 September. This will include support in various areas as described in the Terms of References. The IDEA annual conference is a core part of our work and has been held annually for over a decade. More information on all previous conferences is available on our website and specifically here for 2023 and here for 2022 . This year the theme focuses on the impact of GCE in Ireland and we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of IDEA. Please submit your CV highlighting relevant experience, referees for similar work, and a brief proposed plan/methodology. This proposal should include a proposed no. of days and staff involved (if relevant) and fee to anya@ideaonline.ie . The full Terms of Reference is here .
