IDEA is hosting a conversation on Gender Equality as a Global Justice Issue with Ifrah Ahmed, FGM Activist, and a representative of Amnesty International Ireland, on Tuesday, 27 March, 12:30-2:00pm, in the IDEA Office, 6 Gardiner Row, Dublin 1. 

Ifrah Ahmed is one of the world's top international FGM/C Eradication Advocates and Activists. She has received many humanitarian and other Awards for her work and campaigns relentlessly for legislation to ban FGM/C around the world as well as funding and implementing programmes to effect eradication in east africa with a focus on somalia. We will also have a representative from Amnesty International Ireland speaking about their global My Body My Rights campaign on sexual and reproductive rights.

IDEA is seeking a consultant to support its team in organising the Annual Conference and 20th Anniversary on Wednesday 04 September. This will include support in various areas as described in the Terms of References. The IDEA annual conference is a core part of our work and has been held annually for over a decade. More information on all previous conferences is available on our website and specifically here for 2023 and here for 2022 . This year the theme focuses on the impact of GCE in Ireland and we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of IDEA. Please submit your CV highlighting relevant experience, referees for similar work, and a brief proposed plan/methodology. This proposal should include a proposed no. of days and staff involved (if relevant) and fee to anya@ideaonline.ie . The full Terms of Reference is here .
