Irish Aid Annual Grants Round 2019

The Call for the 2019 Irish Aid Development Education Annual Grant Round and DEAR (Development Education and Awareness Raising) Co-Funding is now open.

The key dates for this year are:

  • Call for Proposals                                                                                                  03 October
  • Public Information Session                                                                                  11 October, 10.00am – 1.00pm
  • Deadline for submission of Eligibility Criteria Form                                        15 October, 5.00pm
  • Deadline for submission of Completed Applications                                      23 November, 5.00pm

The Public Information session will take place Thursday, 11 October, 10.00am in the Conference Room, Iveagh House, 80 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2. If you wish to attend, please reserve your place by email by contacting developmenteducation@dfa.ie.

Development Education funding aims to increase awareness and understanding of global development issues among the public in Ireland. Grants are allocated in the range of €10,000 to €180,000 for a period of one year.

IDEA is seeking a consultant to support its team in organising the Annual Conference and 20th Anniversary on Wednesday 04 September. This will include support in various areas as described in the Terms of References. The IDEA annual conference is a core part of our work and has been held annually for over a decade. More information on all previous conferences is available on our website and specifically here for 2023 and here for 2022 . This year the theme focuses on the impact of GCE in Ireland and we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of IDEA. Please submit your CV highlighting relevant experience, referees for similar work, and a brief proposed plan/methodology. This proposal should include a proposed no. of days and staff involved (if relevant) and fee to anya@ideaonline.ie . The full Terms of Reference is here .
