LYCS/LASC: Indigenous Voices & the Struggle for Natural Resources
Lourdes Youth and Community Services, in conjunction with the Latin America Solidarity Centre, are hosting a free workshop for community leaders, activists, environmentalists, artists, singers and anyone interested in development, culture and sustainability, 10:00am – 3:00pm, 31 January, in the Carmelite Community Centre, 56 Aungier St, Dublin 2. It will focus on music and voice and other forms of cultural expression as a means of exploring the belief systems of native and grassroots people from around the world.

In June, a delegation from our Erasmus+ partner organisation LAPAS (Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation) visited Dublin for a two-day learning and exchange visit hosted by IDEA. The visit was part of an ongoing collaboration with LAPAS to strengthen quality global citizenship education (GCE) in Ireland and Latvia, using the IDEA Code of Good Practice as a framework.
