Policy and Practice Issue 20: Call for Contributors

Eimear Green • Nov 05, 2014

The Centre for Global Education is inviting contributions to Issue 20 of their bi-annual, open access, peer-reviewed journal Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review.    This special issue will celebrate their tenth anniversary under the theme ‘Reflections and Projections’; a revisiting of the very first issue in 2005.  In this issue, they will consider the journey taken by development education over the past decade.  How has the sector changed in this period in terms of practice?  Does the sector offer a radical pedagogy for global citizenship that can achieve more critical and sustained civic engagement on development issues?  How has the policy environment shifted over the last ten years, particularly in a recessionary world?  We would welcome articles that project into the sector’s future and suggest how policy and practice in development education could or should evolve going forward.  For example, how should the sector engage with the European Year of Development in 2015 or the post-2015 development framework that replaces the Millennium Development Goals?

Articles should be submitted on or before Monday, 5 January 2015. Authors interested in submitting an article should send a 300 word précis to stephen@centreforglobaleducation.com.
