Policy and Practice Issue 23: Call for Contributors

The Centre for Global Education is inviting contributions to Issue 23 of its bi-annual, peer reviewed, open access journal on development education titled Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review. The theme of this issue is ‘Development Education in the Formal Education Sector’ and will explore the challenges to and opportunities for global learning in schools. We are inviting articles that explore how Development Education is taught in pre-, primary and post-primary education, particularly contributions examining new approaches to global learning and pupil engagement. 

Authors interested in submitting an article should send a 300 word précis to journal editor, Stephen McCloskey, email: stephen@centreforglobaleducation.com by Friday, 15 April 2016

The submission date for commissioned articles is Friday, 01 July 2016 .

IDEA is seeking a consultant to support its team in organising the Annual Conference and 20th Anniversary on Wednesday 04 September. This will include support in various areas as described in the Terms of References. The IDEA annual conference is a core part of our work and has been held annually for over a decade. More information on all previous conferences is available on our website and specifically here for 2023 and here for 2022 . This year the theme focuses on the impact of GCE in Ireland and we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of IDEA. Please submit your CV highlighting relevant experience, referees for similar work, and a brief proposed plan/methodology. This proposal should include a proposed no. of days and staff involved (if relevant) and fee to anya@ideaonline.ie . The full Terms of Reference is here .
