Free training for women Councillors in Ireland

IDEA, as part of Bridge 47, has teamed up with  Women for Election  to provide a free training for women Councillors on political leadership for sustainable development, Saturday 19 October, 9.30am-4.00pm.

The job of Councillors is getting more complex each year. With rising concerns about the impact of climate change, tackling inequality and making sure constituents have access to housing, health and education services, there’s a lot to balance. The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals can help by providing a framework for Councillors to support decision making based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals that aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

This free one-day training will take women Councillors through the Sustainable Development Goals and show them how to use the Goals to evaluate problems and implement solutions for more sustainable development planning in their constituency.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

If you have any questions, please contact Ji at ji.hyun.kim@bridge47.org.
