Eimear Green • Apr 01, 2020

Start Date: 31/03/2020 End Date: 01/04/2020

Event Location: Dublin (TBC)

In line with the recommendations relating to Covid-19, we have decided to postpone our 2-day Global Goals Jam workshop 1-2 April. We are planning to reschedule it and will share the new date once it has been confirmed.

Due to the popularity of the Design Thinking training last summer, IDEA is running another two-day Train-the-Trainer workshop on Design Thinking called ‘Global Goals Jam’ on 1-2 April – Time and location will be confirmed soon.

The training aims to build the capacity of Development Education/Global Citizenship Education practitioners in using the ‘Global Goals Jam’ in their work as a new way to engage people in finding innovative and sustainable solutions to global challenges.

The Global Goals Jam (co-developed by UNDP and Digital Society School) is a two-day event where creative teams work together on local challenges related to the Global Goals (also known as the SDGs) every September, connecting a global network of change makers across 85 cities worldwide. In the Jam, participants use a tailored toolkit to help them translate big goals into local challenges to design for sustainable impact.

During the training, Anneke van Woerden, SDG Expert and Impact Producer from Digital Society School, will guide the entire process of the 2-day Jam demonstrating how to host a ‘Jam’ and use the Global Goals Jam toolkit (‘Jamkit’).

If you are interested to know what Design Thinking is and how Design Thinking can impact the world of education, please click here. Also, the details of the previous workshop on Design Thinking can be found here.

Cost: €100 for members of IDEA and €200 for non-members. The fee includes participation in both days of the training workshop, lunch, tea/coffee as well as a Jamkit to take away for each participant. A certificate of attendance will also be handed out upon completion.

To register, or find out more, please contact Ji at ji.hyun.kim@bridge47.org by 19 March.

Important Note: The workshop will be limited to 15 people only, so that maximum interaction is possible. We will therefore prioritise IDEA members, especially those who are active in Development Education/Global Citizenship Education facilitation work. Also, as the workshop is based on interactive group work, participants must be able to attend the two full days from the beginning to the end. Please indicate your availability in your email.
