Event Location: IDEA Offices,
6 Gardiner Row,
Dublin 1

IDEA will be running a series of Development Education Conversations throughout 2016. These will be informal evening sessions, providing the opportunity for anyone interested in Development Education to explore various aspects of Development Education theory and practice. Each conversation will be led by a guest convenor, who will choose a theme and select an article for participants to read prior to the session.

We are delighted to announce that our first session will take place on Tuesday, 19 April, 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the IDEA Office  and will be convened by Maria Barry, PhD fellow at the Centre for Human Rights & Citizenship Education, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. Maria will be exploring the theme of Global Citizenship Education, and is asking participants to read ‘What is global education and where is it taking us’? by Alex Standish (The Curriculum Journal, 25:2, 2014). Copies of the article are available from IDEA upon registration.

The event is free and we welcome anyone with an interest in the topic.
