Call for Trainers/Facilitators to Deliver Workshops at IDEA Annual

IDEA is seeking trainers to design and deliver workshops as part of the IDEA Annual Conference 2026

Trainers will design and deliver workshops relating to the conference theme Education for Liberation, which will support the audience (mainly educators whose work is centred on global justice and solidarity) to bring us back to our roots of education for liberation while also looking forward with renewed purpose. Drawing on the radical traditions of Development Education and the legacy of Paulo Freire and other educators-how can we use these foundations of education for liberation in the context of our world today? 

Each trainer/trainer team will be responsible for creating the content of their own 75-90 minute workshop and facilitating the full session in person on the day. Workshops will be run in parallel during the afternoon of the conference programme, and we expect workshops to have approximately 20-25 attendees. The workshops should follow Development Education approaches as set out in theIDEA Code of Good Practice.

If successful in your application, we will, of course, be giving complimentary tickets to the full day of the conference.
