Ana Larcher works at the GENE – Global Education Network Europe Secretariat, where she leads the Research to Policy work, supporting policymakers with research and bridging research and policy towards better research-informed policymaking in global education. She holds a PhD from Imperial College London and is a researcher at the Centre for International Studies (CEI-Iscte). Her research focuses on the evaluation of international development, critical development perspectives and Global Education. She has also taught in the African Studies and International Development Studies programmes at ISCTE – Lisbon University Institute, where she has sought to support critical and decolonial thinking. Ana has extensive experience as an international consultant, working across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East for UN agencies, the EC, and other international organizations, supporting the planning and evaluation of development projects. She has also worked with CSOs across research, evaluation, and project work. Her work on Global Education is strongly informed by these experiences.

The Theory of Impact for Global Citizenship Education Tool will be launched on Tuesday, 19 May, 11.00am - 12.00pm, online. This will be followed by training on how to use the tool from 12.00pm -1.00pm.
Over the last few months, an advisory group of IDEA members supported IDEA staff and a data visualisation expert, Rudi O’Reilly, to develop a tool that will capture and display the collective impact GCE is having in Ireland.
