The IDEA AGM and Conference 2018 will take place Wednesday, 06 June, in The President's Hall, Blackhall Place, Arran Quay, Dublin 7. This year the theme will be Transformative Education for Global Citizenship – SDG 4.7 in Ireland, and the conference will be held in collaboration with Aontas and the National Youth Council of Ireland. 

The aim of the conference is to bring together those working in the Development Education sector with representatives from sectors, whose work also supports this target, to explore the opportunities and challenges offered by SDG 4.7.  

There will be a panel of speakers exploring SDG 4.7, how we can engage with it, the possibilities of working together towards this target, and how we can highlight the importance of SDG 4.7 to the overall achievement of the SDGs. There will also be a series of workshops providing practical tools and approaches that can be used to engage with SDG 4.7 as part of your everyday work. 

Admission:

  • Members: €30.00
  • Members: €40.00 (Where there are two attending from an organisation)
  • Non-Members: €60.00
  • Students / Unwaged: €10.00​

IDEA is seeking a consultant to support its team in organising the Annual Conference and 20th Anniversary on Wednesday 04 September. This will include support in various areas as described in the Terms of References. The IDEA annual conference is a core part of our work and has been held annually for over a decade. More information on all previous conferences is available on our website and specifically here for 2023 and here for 2022 . This year the theme focuses on the impact of GCE in Ireland and we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of IDEA. Please submit your CV highlighting relevant experience, referees for similar work, and a brief proposed plan/methodology. This proposal should include a proposed no. of days and staff involved (if relevant) and fee to anya@ideaonline.ie . The full Terms of Reference is here .
